Selection & installation notes
- Component voltage/current/pulse values are not a verified module operating rating. Confirm the exact component manufacturer, tolerances, waveform, duty cycle and thermal limits.
- For a TVS, verify stand-off voltage against maximum continuous circuit voltage and clamping voltage against equipment withstand. Do not use the source 170CA application example as approval for direct 220 VAC connection.
- The source RC time-constant examples do not consistently match τ = R × C: 120 Ω × 0.1 μF equals 12 μs. Obtain application-specific RC values instead of relying on those example time bands.
- RCM is connected in parallel with the protected AC contacts. Confirm capacitor voltage, leakage and resistor dissipation for the actual circuit.
- FDM diodes require the correct reverse-parallel polarity across DC inductive loads. Verify current, stored energy and release-time requirements.
- Standards and flammability entries are source claims, not independently verified certification. Request supporting documents when needed.
- Confirm wire cross-section and mounting details, which are not specified. Isolate supplies and discharge stored energy before wiring or service.
