Selection & installation notes
- Qcmax and ΔTmax are not simultaneous usable performance. Obtain curves for the actual hot-side temperature, temperature difference and drive current; do not treat the listed maxima as complete cooler ratings.
- The original table lists15 V for TEC1-12703/06/08, while prose derives15.24 V from junction count. Do not derive an operating limit from a generic formula; confirm the element datasheet. In particular, a nominal24 V supply can exceed the prose23.88 V limit of TEC1-19911.
- The hot-side heat exchanger must reject the pumped heat plus electrical input. Never energize an element without an adequate mounted heat exchanger.
- Use flat surfaces, a thin approved thermal interface and uniform clamping. Protect brittle ceramics, leads and seals from stress and condensation.
- Cooling capacity is not generally proportional to current, and peak current does not imply best efficiency. Use controlled DC drive with suitable current and temperature limits.
- The source TEC page limits ETC80-RB applications to24 V/10 A, differing from the ETC80 family30 A headline. Confirm the complete controller revision and load rating. No cross-product accuracy guarantee is inferred.
- The source’s1064 W assembly statement and its16-element limit are not a validated common operating point; request engineered multi-element performance.
